If the 4 March will suit you to leave Marseilles- it appears to be perfectly convenient for Mr R. Stephenson and Mons. P. Talabot. The [annexed] Extract will show you that these Gentlemen now only wait your decision before finally fixing that date for their Departure. I have today advice from Mr. Enfantin that a set of your plans & notes is en route for us- we shall be much interested in examining them. By what Monsieur Monsr. Negrelli Ingenieur en Chef des Chemins de Fer de l'Etat a Vienne Route shall I forward you the maps of Plans of the Red Sea Suez? Mr. R. Nimes London, 11th November 1847 We returned a week ago, if I have before me your letter of the 25 [alts.] We had a most agreeable rencontre with M. M. Negrelli, at Vienna, and alo with M. M. Dufour Feronce, at Leipzig. It is much to be regretted thats we dido see Mr. Mougel, at Marseilles, however I am requested by Mr. R. Stephenson to say that the 4th of March will suit him perfectly well, & he trusts that his Parliamentary duties may offer no impediment to his adhering punctually to this time.
