Sie studierte unter anderem an der Columbia University und wurde international ausgestellt und ausgezeichnet. In ihrem Projekt \u201eColonial Veins\u201c macht sie koloniale Machtstrukturen im globalen Rohstoffabbau sichtbar.Im Mai 2025 f\u00fchrte das TMW-Forschungsteam ein englischsprachiges Interview mit J\u00falia Pont\u00e9s zu ihren Kunstwerken und zu ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit den Megaminen im brasilianischen Bundesstaat Minas Gerais.
