Enfantin beschwert sich \u00fcber die Anfrage nach einer Erh\u00f6hung der Reisedi\u00e4ten durch Karl Ja\u00dfn\u00fcger (Leiter der \u00f6sterreichischen Delegation in \u00c4gypten) in H\u00f6he von 25 Francs pro Tag, denn seiner Meinung nach w\u00e4ren 10 Francs f\u00fcr die besten Hotels in Alexandrien ausreichend. Laut Enfantin w\u00fcrde Ja\u00dfn\u00fcger zudem keine ausreichende Kenntnisse \u00fcber die Gepflogenheiten in \u00c4gypten haben, z. B. im Zusammenhang mit der Badekultur in warmen Weltregionen. Enfantin berichtet weiters, dass er erfahren h\u00e4tte, dass der offizielle Besuch der \u00d6sterreicher beim Pascha gut verlaufen sei.
