But Mr. Stephenson is quite willing to accede to any arrangement you might make conjointly with Mr. Talabot, supposing it should be decerned requisite that an English and French engineer should accompany you; but probably you may find an efficient French engineer all that is wanted, seeing the accuracy of the surveys of the Red Sea and Suez a series of these in 6 sheets was forwarded to you at Paris yesterday.

Ihre Briefe vom 15 und 17 ds. Mts. sind mir zugekommen über den ersten habe ich mich gefreut; ich glaubte Sie bei dessen Abfassung schon im Besitze der letzten Nachrichten von Enfantin und Talabot und freute mich, daß Sie demungeachtet beharrten, zu reisen. Untröstlich bin ich über den Inhalt des zweiten, in welchem Sie berichten, nachgegeben zu haben. Sellier und Enfantin auch Thieriot in Dresden teilen meine Ansichten nachdem Sie einmal nachgegeben haben, war es an der Zeit zu beharren und allein zu gehen.-3m October oder November wird jenen wieder etwas da= zwischen kommen und was dann? wenn Sie sich dann zurückziehen, wie Sie es jetzt erklären und wie ich es Ihnen in diesem Falle nicht
